Our interpreters are just more qualified. It’s that simple. Our agency is a big commitment, a lot of training and a big commitment to do a lot more training. That’s what sets our interpreters apart. They’re just more qualified.

Language Test:

This test assists the agency determining whether bilingual individuals who are being asked to interpret have the basic skills to provide interpreting.  It can also be used as the first step to determine whether a candidate who will be hired as an in-house interpreter has the basic interpreting skills needed for the job. The language proficiency test is also available in English to help determine the ability of a non-native English speaker to communicate with English speaking clients.

Training:

Every single MULA interpreter completes 12 hours basic interpreting skills and 48-hour medical interpreter training. They’re also required to take a minimum of 10 hours of continuing education and/or specialty training each year.

Professionalism:

MULA interpreters are interpreting specialists and are bound by our very strict Code of Ethics. 

Cultural Competency:

Our interpreters have a profound understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and U.S. customs, as well as those of the native language they speak.
