Jama Mohamed:  currently works as a Literacy and Volunteer Director where he is a co-founder of Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services formerly known as SBYAM. Before Jama took on the case management position at MIRS, he worked at Jubilee Trinity Center as Case Manager/Interpreter. EXPERTISE: Jama has a strong work ethic and is an expert in working with immigrant communities. Abdikadir Negeye: Currently works at Maine Immigrant & Refugee Services as a Human Resources Director. Abdikadir has strong administration, organization skills and a high level of confidentiality.  Before taking the position at MIRS, Abdikadir worked for Lewiston School Department over 5 years as a Language Facilitator. He has good medical background and strong interpreting experiences.

Mohamed Yarrow: Qualified Interpreter in social services, community and mental health field. Mr. Yarrow is well respected n the community and very good at confidentiality. He speaks Somali.

Fatuma Hassan: Qualified and has been interpreting for more than 5 year in the medical filed. Speaks Maay Maay and Somali.

Hani Mohamed: Very professional interpreter for all fields social services, mental health, schools, medical for more 10 years. Has very strong work of ethics. Speaks Somali.

 

Djima Ainan: Professional Interpreter and who speaks Somali and French.Djima also works as Case Manager.

 

Hussein Muktar: Very hard working young man who always who always above and beyond to satisfy both patients and provider. Speaks Maay-Maay and Somali.

 

Mohamed Dekow: Strong interpersonal communication skills. Been interpreting in all field for over 10  years. Speaks Somali, Maay Maay and Swahili.

 

Nadifa Mohamed: Been interpreting over 5 years in the medical and mental health field. Speaks Somali and Maay Maay.

Abdisalat Mohamed: Professional interpreter,, has tons of interpreting experience and speaks Somali and Maay-Maay.

Zeinab Hassan: Has been interpreting for over 2 decade in  Greater  Portland area Speaks Arabic and Somali. Well know in the medical and socail services providers.
